Meet Riss, she is our newest Registered Massage Therapist here at Impact.
Riss made the move from her small home town of Williams Lake B.C. back in 2021 to attend the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy and pursue her career in the health and wellness industry. She enjoys working with sports teams and athletes with many different adaptable skills and modalities.
Growing up, she was invested in many sports; including figure skating, wrestling and rugby. Once graduated from high school, Riss switched gears and started her journey to compete as a body builder. She attended two competitions within the bikini league and continues to attend the gym 5 days a week. She plans to return to stage now that she is a Registered Massage Therapist.
When she is not at the gym, Riss spends her spare time enjoying hikes, travelling, camping and spending time with her two dogs. Her dedication and active life style contributes greatly to her future clients and our team.
Biography
Dylan Wiebe is a Registered Massage Therapist who grew up in Portage, Manitoba. While living on the prairies, Dylan had plenty of opportunity to play sports, specifically hockey in the winters and soccer in the summer. As Dylan started to develop into an athlete, he was successfully chosen to play AAA hockey for the Manitoba Panthers and Portage Terriers while later playing junior hockey for the Oakville Seals of the SEMHL. Apart from hockey, Dylan also was selected to play for Team Manitoba of the Manitoba Soccer Association and participated in the U-18 National Championship under the Canada Soccer Association.
Dylan unfortunately had to end his pursuit of playing hockey professionally after a career ending shoulder surgery in his late teens. He decided to travel the world while teaching ESL in countries such as Indonesia and Singapore while getting opportunities to continue his sporting expertise by playing for local hockey clubs that would travel around Southeast Asia competing amongst fellow expats. While Dylan thoroughly enjoyed his time in the tropics, his enthusiasm was to start a career where his passion in sport could be lived out everyday through his work.
As Dylan successfully became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2015, he immediately started using his new skills to enter back into the sporting world.
